I have Fusion Fibre Channel PCI Cards in my G5s and then it wouldn't boot
with 2.6.10 although it was OK at 2.6.8. I believe there is a problem with
those drivers
in 2.6.10.

I patched 2.6.8 to get around my problem. I haven't tried later kernels
yet.

Subject: [ydl-gen] Netbooting a G5

(Embedded image moved to file: pic24050.jpg)
All,
I have 6 G5 Xserves that need to be netbooted for a diskless project
I'm wokring on. I have the DCDP server and tftpboot server working.
Every time I build a 2.6.10* kernel, the machine hangs after the
penguins show up... As if that's not strange enough, if I use a 2.6.8
kernel with the same .config, everything is fine. Unfortunately, the
SATA drivers in the 2.6.8 kernel are experimental and prevent me from
acessing the disks. Has anyone sucessfully gotten this to work. I'm
trying the 2.6.14 now. Any help is greatly appreciated.
