Try
whereis gcc
if that doesn't work, look in /usr/bin, /usr/local/bin, or /bin.
If it is not in any of those places, you probably don't have it (which is very unlikely seeing as it forms the core of linux), check http://gcc.gnu.org for where to get it.
hope that helps!

Hi,

I can't seem to find gcc on my newly installed ydl. I'm a linux noob, so perhaps I'm missing something obvious. If gcc comes standard, could someone direct me to the default file path? If it does not, could someone recommend
a good source for gcc?

Thanks much!
