Sorry this is an old question I had but I've been busy . . . We're using a YDL 4 box as a mail server (postfix) and during the last time change (coming off of Daylight Savings Time) we noticed on the following day that the time didn't correct it's self and so the system email had the wrong time.
What I find to odd about it is that the NTPd was running and as soon as I manually restarted ntpd the situation fixed it's self - in other words, ntp set the clock to the right time setting. So I'm wondering, what went wrong and what can I do to prevent that happening again next spring? Or is it just something I have to put up with. Thanks. -- ---------------------------------------------------- Jonathan Wilson Cedar Creek Software http://www.cedarcreeksoftware.com _______________________________________________ yellowdog-general mailing list [email protected] http://lists.terrasoftsolutions.com/mailman/listinfo/yellowdog-general HINT: to Google archives, try '<keywords> site:terrasoftsolutions.com'
