So it does boot with a monitor but not without? Hmm. Are you trying to run the computer without a _video card_?
I'm running a Beige G3 (officially unsupported) headless, and, AFAIK all Macs should be able to _run_ headless (some machines require a monitor to allow you to install YDL in the first place, however). I also run the Beige G3 without its AV personality card. This means it can't generate any sounds (which is why I did it ;-) and should draw a few Watts less of electricity (ugh, the grammar seems awkward but not necessarily wrong). Eric.
