All installation runs fine, the system works fine, but the display
(Cinema 20") shows hardly readable stuff.
Tried many things: use ATI radeon 9650 as suggestet on ydl hp video
support. Main monitor is practically useless, dual head monitor is
starting up nicely. Switched all resolutions, displays that are
appropriate (17" is working only as second monitor on dual card). Main
disply is default VGA, 256 colors, resolution fine. You can read
highlighted items only if you deactivate the window containg the highlight.
ATI radeon X850XT yiels same results on main monitor. dual monitor not
supported.
Playing with video is all we are doing right now in order to exploit the
G5´s capacities. Sad.
Ah, not to mention the several re-installs...
