Within all versions YDL between 1 and 4.1 you could use: #fdisk
or #pdisk I believe from YDL 3 and 4 forward the program known as parted became available: #parted Before using either I recommend researching their usage with man or info, as in: #man parted or #info fdisk and so on. Remember also to refer to online resources such as Red Hat's online database reference system or download Red Hat's manuals, etc. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Jim Ricken wrote: > Is there a command that you can use to find out how your hard drives > are labeled hda ,sda, etc? > _______________________________________________ > yellowdog-general mailing list > [email protected] > http://lists.terrasoftsolutions.com/mailman/listinfo/yellowdog-general > HINT: to Google archives, try '<keywords> site:terrasoftsolutions.com' > > _______________________________________________ yellowdog-general mailing list [email protected] http://lists.terrasoftsolutions.com/mailman/listinfo/yellowdog-general HINT: to Google archives, try '<keywords> site:terrasoftsolutions.com'
