I forgot to mention that you don't need gnash to run yum. Clarification: Gnash was discussed earlier in this list as an open source version of Flash. It was reported to work in other Linux distributions; I tried using gnash within YDL 5, but I found that it did not work. However I did post earlier to this list a link to a petition to Macromedia (the owners of Flash) so they may consider building a version of Flash to run on Linux running on PowerPC based computers. All told right now, there are just under 4,000 signatures on it. Of course, if this link were to spread throughout Asia and signatures started appearing in unprecedented scale then Macromedia may start paying attention and actually do something. For all my respect for open source, there is nothing like a company which cares for it's product and the effect it's contribution has in the public and commonly shared space. Macromedia has a real opportunity to get this right.
