I'm not attempting to downplay the incredible loss you've experienced, but I believe that all distributions of linux, unless otherwise stated, come AS IS, with no warranty. Also, I'm positive that *all* linux distributions *warn* users to *backup important data* before trying to partition, format, or install.

Again, I'm sorry for your loss, I think it would've been a good idea to make a backup of your important data before you tried to install YDL.

Just my thoughts,

My french is really horrible, so I'm just going to use Google Translate and hope that I'm not insulting anyone by doing so.

bonjour !

I'm furax !o(

en effet, I've tried to install ydl-5.02 and :
- it couldn't because a soi-disant missing lib
- althought it didn't install, it made all my harddisks "unmountable"
I mean, when I wanted to reboot macos all that I had on the screen was this damned ?_disquette image I had to reboot on a macos cd, REFORMAT ALL my 2 internal disks as well as the external one... all these were corrupted by the ydl_5 installator

mais pourquoi cette violence ?¿?
