I have noticed with the Mac I had to use the Memorex CD media that was the gold color (650 meg capacity not the 700 meg). Record them on the slowest speed allowed by the burning program. This holds true with the color series of iMac (bondi, indigo, etc) the power Mac (Blue & White, etc). Only when I was using the DVD drive could I use a different media but the Memorex (gold color) worked best across all of them. This would include to the LC series forward.
