Terra Soft does not have much to say about RAM requirements for Yellow Dog Linux. I think most folks might say that 64-128 MB is the minimum for personal use of Linux; 256-512 MB of RAM would be great (more is always better up to practical limits). If you intend to host some large databases, even 512 MB might not be enough.


Keep in mind, however, that increasing your RAM increases your need for hard drive space, since a portion of your drive equal to about twice your RAM is allocated to "swap" space. Go here for more information about hard drive space requirements:
