YD install and Monitor Question

I started installinbg YD onto a Mac Mini and during the probe it said unknown monitor. (I have a samsung flat panel) The boot continued and the screen went blank. If I do a ctl-alt-del it comes back to life and shuts down. Any idea what is going on with this monitor?
