Yeah, 'yum update' or 'yum upgrade' will do it automatically...i have
done it myself...sorry, that must have been confusing..i meant to say if
you were on YDL 3, you need to change the repos, but you won't if you
have 4.0. So, just 'yum update' and you are good to go
get ready to enjoy working sound!!!

[apologies for top posting]
So you can 'yum update' & 'yum upgrade' your way to 4.0.1 from 4.0
without having to fiddle with the ISOs and/or do some pretty
convoluted song-and-dance (like taking 3.0.1 to 4.0 without doing a
"real" install)?
Are any changes required to the yum repositories (aside from perhaps
choosing a less busy repository so you can actually complete a d/l)?
Eric.

4.0.1 has been public for a little while now. IF you are upgrading from
4.0, just make yourself su in a terminal and 'yum update'
If you are using YDL, you will have to change the repository addresses
in your yum.conf file.
If this is the case, I'm sure anyone on here will be glad to give the
urls to you

It seems that the ISOs are available from the YellowDog website mirrors
now, although I haven't seen anything posted regarding this yet.

Are the yellowdog-4.0.1-orion-20050208-install.iso files for real?
How do I go about installing the newer version? Is there a way to just
upgrade to 4.0.1 or do I have to do a complete install from the CDs?
