Was this problem ever resolved? I am seeing something similar on a G4. I do have a yaboot.conf file however, and it appears consistent with /etc/fstab and the mount command when I look at it using "install rescue". Another difference is that although my drive is hda, I only see the Apple_Partition_Map and Apple_HFS entries when I use the command "pdisk /dev/hdc" not "pdisk /dev/hda". Any ideas?
