Newbie question : installing open office new version

Real simple, yet essential question:  I dowloaded Open Office 2.0 whatever from the OOo website.  How do I install the .TZ file?  When I click on the package Ark opens up - and from there where do I go?  I see RPM files, but how do I execute them.

Sorry for sounding stupid - old Mac-guy trying something new on my very plentiful supply of G-3s.
