Run "ls /media" in a console and with luck if your flash drive has
been mounted then the name of your USB flash drive will appear.
If not, on the left-hand side of your panel there should be a big "K"
logo (if you have set up KDE as your desktop environment) or a yellow
dog (if you are using GNOME). Click on this --> Home --> portable
media and icons for your hard drive (hda), CD/DVD drive (hdc) and
flash drive (sda) should appear. Click on your "sda" icon to mount it
and your OS should "see" it.
