I needed a starting point to build a redhat kernel package. I was used to
debian and the packaging of kernels is much easier there. The first patch that
is needed, is the oldconfig-noninteractive stuff to get the build automated. I
tried to package an unpatched 2.6.21 but with no success. Believe me, I tried
for a while before I wrote the first mail.

I didn't ask about help how to build a kernel nor how to package it. I asked if
TSS has plans to provide current kernels customized for the PS3. There are
already PS3 specific stuff in the new kernels and maybe it would be a benefit
to have a YDL kernel with that features. Maybe it is not because the TSS
customizations already deal with the same issues. But how should I know?

Thanks very much for your detailed mail, but I think it doesn't answer my
question ;-)
