The biggest problem will probably be lack of graphical support. 

    The Hyper Visor completely blocks access to the RSX. 
   Until someone can find a way to bypass the HV, and or Sony releases a
patch... everything has to be done from the CPU. 

  I'm not even sure if something like a N64 emulator could run.  
   
  I'll I've done up to date is run Genesis, NES, and SNES on the system.

It ought to be possible to compile it, SL is open-source.  The problem is SL
requires 3D acceleration through openGL.  As far as I know the Linux on the
PS3 doesn't have a hardware accelerated Mesa/OpenGL.
