Issue 124: Opening binary files locks up Yi
http://code.google.com/p/yi-editor/issues/detail?id=124
New issue report by jeffwheeler:
Opening any binary file in Yi will cause it to freeze for a while, and it
entirely locks up the machine during this time (I couldn't shutdown X),
which is probably an indication of a larger memory consumption problem.
I had this problem when I accidentally opened .yi/yi-i386-linux; I suspect
the smaller problem (opening binary files) can be avoided with a simple
warning, although it probably should not be allowed at all.
Emacs allows the file to be opened, but is quick enough for it not to
appear crashed. I don't think this is the most desirable behavior, though.
