Issue 126: cant input characters by console

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. locale is zh_CN.utf8
input methold is fcitx, xim
please refer to issue 125
2. under urxvt, start yi:
yi -f vty --as=emacs
3. open an Chinese utf8 text and input some characters.
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
chiense should be showed, Chinese characters should be inputed.
chinese can be showed, but chinese characters cannot be inputed correctly.
when input something, it showed weird characters. after saved, the old
chinese characters also become weird chacaters.
What version of Yi are you using? On what operating system?
yi 0.4 darcs 20080618, archlinux
If any was produced, please provide your .yi.dbg file
