Issue 185: Tabs not supported in GTK or other non-Vty UIs

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Launch Yi with --as=vim and -fgtk
2. Open a new tab with :tabe filename
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Tabs should appear like in gedit or other gtk editors, but do not.
With some guidance, I'd be willing to try and tackle this.
