the yi package on arch linux fails with this message:

i know i should be contacting the arch maintainer, but i was hoping
for some information to pass along regarding missing packages that
needed to be added to the install. i have added practically anything
related to bytestrings, still see this
by the way, here is the manifest of packages that yi requires on arch,
