I see that the vim keymap explicitly catches io exceptions and ignores them upon write. Nicolas, Corey: do you see any reason for this? Otherwise we should remove that asap.
Actually, is there any reason at all that viWrite wraps fwriteE? I think these should be unified. Cheers, JP.
