Hi fellas, I really don't like the completion stuff in ex mode. Take :saveas as an example: :saveas is recorded in the Vim manual as :sav[eas], which means that the command should get accepted with any of :sav, :save, :savea, :saveas. Now, we're doing that, no questions asked. But we don't do :sav!, :save!, :savea!, :saveas!. At least not without recording a completion option *every* single one of those. There are other commands (:write), which are similar.
I think we should really do something to clean up this mess. Any ideas? If not, I'll try to do something about it the next couple of days. Aleks
