Agreed. I'd like to hear confirmation that the options are at least
valid for the tree as it stands today. If there are configuration
values that are valid only when patches we can't see are applied to
the tree, then splitting the .scc files into the base options and
extended (out of tree), and merging them to linux-yocto and a BSP
layer respectively makes sense.
If I can get that confirmation today, I can merge the changes
immediately.

Normally, when submitting a new BSP, you should also submit the kernel
patches that go with it as well as the oe metadata e.g. the meta-intel
layer, so that people can build and test it out.
From a quick glance at this, though, I see that EMGD is essentially
hard-coded into the BSP (as well as i915 too) - did you look at the
current BSPs in meta-intel that add EMGD conditionally as a kernel
feature? I think that someone should be able to build a baytrail BSP
without having to use EMGD.
