Printing to PDF and using the Mail PDF works fine for a Mail
Yojimbo item when using PDF's.

You can drag the items to the Finder to export them, then drag them
to the Mail icon in the Dock to create a new message with the items
attached. (Dragging to the Dock direclty won't work, because Yojimbo
puts rich text in the drag as well, and the Dock chooses to pass that
along to mail in lieu of the files.)
Alternatively, you can create a script in your system wide Scripts
menu which will create a new message with the selected items as
attachments. See my example from before:
