In much of my notetaking there is often a little arithmetic be it
comparative pricing, usage of something, a quick tally etc. I have not
come across any notetakers, scrapbooks, wikis or other PIM that has
this facility. Is there any possibility that this is a feature that
could be incorporated into Yojimbo. Say something like MSWord's table
formula function?

We don't have any plans along these lines at present, but would be
interested to know how you might use such a capability.

Not sure if Mr. Droid was thinking of exactly the same thing. But I could imagine having a time field somewhere in my TODO notes and the sum showing up somewhere else. This way I could see how many hours I have scheduled for any subset of TODOs, like todays TODOs, or TODOs tagged with a certain tag.

Now that I use yojimbo to organize my day I sometimes feel like I am missing such a feature. I usually flag those TODOs I want to actively work on today. If there was a way I could show a sum of field X in all the notes in my current view (e. g. "flagged items"), this would make for a good overview about my TODO items time requirements.

Just wanted to contribute this to the discussion because I think it wouldn't be good to have Excel-like functionality in Yojimbo notes unless you could use it across several notes. For me this would justify the bloat.
