Also, since we have resolved most of the issues for the first milestone,
should we ask PMC to start vote for the release. I am new to this
process, so would appreciate any help in this regard...

elements in the wsdl - they are all on one line - I have

I have submitted a patch to celtix to cleanup the
println's in our demos
(because we are using celtix tools to write the wsdl).
So that should resolve Item 5 in your list...
