NOoooooooo!  Kat is dire! It drags the system down to a crawl and keeps
popping up to p*** you off all the time!
Mandriva 2006 included it as Fabian says - but if you look on their forums,
you will see that users really do not like the program at all. On my Mandriva
system, I disabled it - and things started working properly!
Not tried Beagle - but I can imagine the same sort of issues.
Personally,I feel desktop searching is pants. Yes - include it as a repository
item for those who really want to use such tools - but not in the main iso.
Do people have that much stuff on their machines that they need a search tool?
Cron does the business for me - set up updatedb to run daily and away you go.
Just my own view of course ;)  I would never use Kat myself - my own
experience of it was that it is currently more of a pain than a pleasure.
Even if it worked fine, I would doubt it would appeal to me.

ok, i go with the people who have already used Dekstop Search utilities :). I have never used, but it is always good to have it in repos.

Here are the next few things which i would like to see in Yoper,

- Network Monitoring Tool (i remember seeing it in previous versions...)
- Ark Tool
- GnomeMeeting(for pc-to-pc communication)

Regarding Bootsplash, am trying my best to make it work in BlackSand...maybe today i will find a solution.
