Thanks for all the discussion regarding YIS :). Now i do have come up with a final decision from the previous mails.
Ok, let me go one by one.
Installer Startup
1) Check for proper installation medium
2) Detect the RAM size and check which installer to start (YIS-CLI or YIS-GUI)
3) Provide an option in the startup either 800x600 or 1024x768 for YIS-GUI
4) Default will be 1024x768 for YIS-GUI
5) Help needed on how to automatically resize UI controls in Qt with respect to Resolution for YIS-GUI
Partition Setup
1) Use QtParted , however this should be indicated as an "Advanced Users" section
2) Root Partition (/) should be compulsory and other optional partitions are Boot,Swap,Home
3) Automatic Paritioning Mechanism will be brought in
4) Usage of LVM (if anybody can work on it)
Installation
I dont think we have anything to add here. If any , please do comment on this.
Progress Indication
There will be an overall progress-bar indication on the progress of YIS which includes from disclaimer to final setup.
If there are any changes or anything need to be changed, please feel free to add.
Once confirmed, i will load it in Yoper Wiki.
