I have attached the YIS Module Design which shows an overall view on what modules we can have in terms of coding and implementation,the languages/tools and their corresponding versions to be used.
The initial YIS Specification module contains all the necessary explanations on each module.
The next step is to check the availabiity of the packages with the proper versions in our buildserver. As far as i know, qt4 and python2.4 are already there. PyQt4 is not available. I would be happy if packagers make available this package as soon as possible.
YIS developers need to develop only in Yoper (Yoper Blacksand onwards). This is to maintain the Yopernism since we would stumble into many issues if you code in other distros and run in Yoper.
I wanted to circulate to all as we had so many confusions, so this should not again lead to such confusions and am open to hear from any yoper devloper regarding their views on the two documents,
1) YIS Specification Document
2) YIS Module Design.
I would be happy if we could complete the reviews in a 3 days time and start coding.Packagers,is it possible to compile pyqt4 within 3 days of time?, if not, you are free to propose your timeline
