Hi, this mail is mainly for the long standing Yoper team members. But I prefer open discussion. So here you go:
The current development server for Yoper is still in Germany. On the bottom line I am not sure that I will be able to cover the costs in the next 12 months. I surely will pay my share but I cannot afford to pay all costs. The current lease is with 100 Euro rather cheap (unlimited traffic on a 100 Mbit line + full root access ) At the moment the best option I see myself is that we designate an accountant who is collecting funds and actively tries to get money for Yoper. I am not willing to be that accountant just for the matter of time involved. So we need a well known team member volunteering for that task. It is intensional that I do not mention any names here because the person needs to be trusted by the majority of the people willing to help funding Yoper. If we decide to keep the server at it's current location it would also be good to have an European / German citizen taking over the contract from me to simplify things. Accountant / Contract person don't need to be one person but should be able to communicate regularly. The public buildserver was a big step forward for Yoper and its team development. Yoper can live without it. Though (IMHO) we would be almost back to square one without it. So I hope we find a solution allowing to keep it online.
