I like the joomla and I maybe able to help with the logo. Looks good I've been very silent since my web store has been teaming with new customers and all evenings are committed to answering e-mails and adding products. I actually have had to hire a guy to help with the data entry. I went ahead and re-enrolled the domain for another year just in case my time became available to work on it again. I don't mind paying for it and holding it in the event that we need it for something plus it helps with SEO for my web store. If no one minds I may use it for my web store as a backup server and for SEO. I know I can because I pay for it but I don't want to do anything with it that will irritate the team since it was originally obtained with the team in mind. Just know that it's available to be used in the event that you guys invent a good use for it. Who knows if I have enough business capital available when the next release of the Yoper 3.0 stable is released than maybe I can manufacture some products like shirts and such and sell them there and donate a large portion to the Yoper project which was at one time the main goal of Yoperstuff.com

So Tobias when the time comes you can count on me to furnish your hosting cost at the very least with Yoperstuff.com proceeds and maybe more once we release a stable version.

Best Regards, Walter

Yoper Devs,

This is a really old thread so I'll summerize instead of inline posting.
Walter generously purchased the domain Yoperstuff.com for a news source to
benefit the Yoper community. The domain name expires in October and he was
wondering if he should continue to pay for the domain name.

As some may know the website has been "under development" by myself for a
while. You can preview it at http://www.yoper.com/joomla where I'm building
it out (yes I know it's rough in IE6, and the logo looks messed up in every
browser). My main point is that I've moved over all the news content from
the Yoperstuff.com domain so we can gracefully loose that domain.

The new main yoper.com site will be managed under Joommla, just like
Yoperstuff.com was. It will have its own news portal as a part of that CMS.
You can see this taking place at the building area. The main point of this
email is that the Yoperstuff.com content has been saved. Additionally, if
anyone knowledgable about web design is interested in helping out with the
new Yoper website speak up. I could use an extra hand ;)

Patience is a virtue, the new site will be done eventually :)

Hi guys. I'm glad to see the recent activity in the team and hope that I
can return to full activity again in the future. In the mean time I have
a question: The domain yoperstuff.com is set to expire soon and I would
like to know if the team sees using it of any value?. I started to add
content but as you know my web store www.thepumpbox.com and the business
that I operate from it have been consuming all my time. Its not very
expensive to keep it going $4.95/month but if we don't really have any
use for it than maybe I will let it expire.

If we want to set it up as a web store I can certainly be of service
since after running the www.thepumpbox.com site I have plenty of
experience with it.
Thanks guys. Let me know what you think.

Hi,

Walter, yeah summer seems to be over in the crowded places on earth .
At the end of the world the spring is starting :) .

in my opinion we could easily handle a shop using existing domains. 5
USD a month is still money. About setting up a shop. First and
foremost we need someone willing and able to setup and maintain an
online shop. My to do list is way to long for that.

With Reid's recent work on Joomla, there might be also a chance of far
easier integration of a small scale online shop. Reid, what do you
think ?

regards
