Hi,

xorg-7.1 does now work with some basic kde-3.5.5 apps. Testers please
download the latest snapshot of the installer from the buildserver :
http://88.198.41.209/build/YOS-2.92-002.iso It is being uploaded right
now.

Changelog for the installer:
-------------

- clean package installation and not an upgrade of the blacksand
packages (like YOS-2.92-001.iso )
- changes to the installer to allow more flexible and easy rebuilding
of the install image
- default channel list does now point to the buildserver ( and later
on to the main ftp )
- more cleanups in the interface to have less user interaction during
installation ( goal 1 - Click Installer )

I still have not enabled to run the installer automatically

to run it do type /usr/lib/yis/yis-cli/yis-cli.sh

If you like add the statement debug .

Happy testing.

To install xorg7 on that test installation simply execute :

smart update
smart install xorg-x11-base kdmctrl
/etc/init.d/kdmctrl restart

The roaring penguin is not yet part of the install image. So only test
the install image if you have an ethernet connection to your pc.

The upgradepath from xorg-6.8.2 to xorg-7.1 is not yet available. So
please test xorg-7.1 only on dedicated test installations.

Have a nice weekend.

regards Tobias
