Hi, FYI. The xorg7 branch is now obsolete and the rpms and the xorg7 svntree got merged to rocketfuel. So
1) do not try to commit to the xorg7 branch 2) remove the xorg7 component from your package manager. So what's left to be done on the TO-DO list for the next release. Arnulf do you have any input here ? While browsing the Bugtracker I could find the following items. 1) Default Applications and Meta Data ( #133) Both desktops lack an useful default application list. We should tackle that and also provide the metadata files so that these apps are used to open certain filetypes. There's a special word for that. Just slipped my mind at the moment. I hope someone is keen to organize that. I really lack time and will to do it. 2) Kernel Update . It's on it's way and SMP will be sorted as well. 3) Installer. ( #41 , #73 , #92 ) Both Installers undergo heavy development at the very moment. As soon as the installers are consolidated we can come up with new releases. 4) xorg 7.2 The current X version in Yoper is a development release. We'll have to wait for the release of xorg 7.2 for making a stable release. 5) installation tweaks At the moment I am looking into scripts allowing automated / lossless repartitioning ( to a certain degree) . That's one of the major improvements and should be included. 6) packages, packages and packages Despite the fact that we got quite some rare multimedia applications working in an outstanding manner we're still pretty low in our overall package count. Any input and discussion welcome regards -- Tobias Gerschner Member of Board of Yoper Linux Ltd. NZ Knowing is not enough; we must apply. Willing is not enough; we must do. _______________________________________________ yoper-dev mailing list [email protected] https://morpheus.pingos.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/yoper-dev
