The kernel DID work for me. Right now I'm running 2.6.21-yos_8.
However, it has also proven that the CPU usage problem is not with the
scheduler (kinda, to be expected). Now, I'm almost sure the problem is
with rendering AA fonts... any window with quite some text in it (AA)
is either drawing the text too slow, or taking 100%.
That is too bad, since I really don't know of a solution.
Anyways, the good news is this configuration works for intel sata.
