Hi Amr, Yoper is an i686-optimized distro. This means that it runs by far faster than conventional i386-compatible distros. However, whether or not Yoper will meet expectations is something can't say as it depends upon you and your point of view. All I can say it that users say that Yoper runs damnly fast with very litle user-side effort. The installation process will take around only 15 minutes to get done. After this you'll be welcome to the speed world only Yoper user enjoy.
If you want to give to have a look it we have a Live CD avaialble at http://88.198.41.209/build/latest-live.iso that can also be used for installation. This is a beta release that has a few minor issues to fix, but it works quite well. We will be very happy to know about you and get some feedback from you soon. I hope I have answered you questions. Regards! :-) ________________________________ Date: Tue, 5 Aug 2008 01:45:41 +0300 From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: yoper-dev@lists.yoper.com Subject: [yoper-dev] about yoper Hey. i am a bit new to linux world i used fedora for a while and ubuntu but now i use vista as its faster than linux in my pc i don't know why that but i think linux drivers aren't that good .. my vista boot up 24-35 seconds average 30 sec... but ubuntu 1 minutes minimum soo i read about your distro but i have a slow internet connection and i am afraid of downloading that much and it will be vain so may i ask you if it will run fast on my laptop Fujitsu siemens Amilo Pi1505 CPU:1.86 /2m core duo chipset:intel 945 hadrdisk :western digital 160 gb ram : 2 x 512 dual channel 533mhz . i will be gratefull for you thank you Amr _________________________________________________________________ ¡El Mundo Messenger te espera!
