All through the GUI code I've finding references to active_r() but nowhere can
I see this being defined or changed, yet a large number of colour choices seem
to depend on it :(
What's more, this goes right back to Zyn, 2.2.1!
I don't like the idea of code that seems to do nothing. You never know whether
it's safe to remove it. On the other hand, it's wasteful and messy having all
these (quite small) colour changes apparently only made in response to this
command.
