I've now merged this into master. There's a lot more trhought needed before making any changes within the engines, and currently I can't think of an alternative.
At the same time, this is a heads up that the latest versions of Devuan and debian use an updated cmake, and this require V3.5 as a minimum. It also requires the project name to be below the primary cmake commands.
