Kudos! It is indeed looking much better now, and I was able to
immediately get sound when I tried.
But there is still an issue. I loaded up one of my biggest projects,
which has a multitude of Yoshimi instances, with lots of playing at the
same time across instances, and plenty of MIDI learn (which I assume
pushes the new internal communication in Yoshimi hard).
And it plays mostly fine, but a while into the song there is a new
crash. Luckily it's reproducible, but I have to narrow it down before I
can make anything like a bug report out of it, which might take me a few
days. The project is way too big to submit as is.
My gut feeling is that it has to do with MIDI learn though, and it is
indeed being used in the area of the song where it crashes. Just in case
you already have an idea of where to investigate. If not, I'll get back
to you soon with a more digestible bug report!
