Command K gets me nothing. I don't know how to create a new identity-- don't know what that means. I went to "Help" and I was afraid to create a new one -- how would I get back to the old one (Would I want to?) I tried to do the other things you suggested but don't know what Apple combo is and couldn't find repair permissions. Told you I was a computer moron... If you want to know about horses, I can help (have a long time student competing in the Olympics tomorrow :-)
