Fortunately I had the same data on my iMac, so I was able to export
the
contacts and calendars from the iMac, and then import them to the
MacBook
Pro. Now Entourage had a few duplicate entries in the Address
Book. From
where? They were all wiped out. And my several Groups were still
there.
From where? And all the photos associated with entries in Address
Book were
gone.
They don't sync. That's a big issue as far as I am concerned.
If they were in the system AB, you need to perform your restore from
there. If they were in Entoruage, restore the data from Entourage on
the other Mac.
I use SyncTogether to synchronize my Address Book contacts and iCal
calendars, between the MacBook Pro and the iMac. But now I'm afraid
to do
that, since Entourage could easily wipe out the data on two machines.
I don;t use their software, but I suspect it is SyncService based as
well.
I am also afraid to Sync the Mac with iPhone, because who knows what
the
Microsoft component of this action will do.
I have had serious issues of the sort in the past, but not lately
(with everything up to date).
I usually do not turn SyncServices off when I rebuild though,
