Hi Gang, Well the message has returned, "Entourage can not access your data base...."
Last week (thank you again for the suggestions) I rebuilt my data base and even later exported and reimporting (archive (.rge) my contacts (I had a corrupted person) and it worked fine for a about a week. I am using Office 08 latest version My OX is 10.5.6 When I run Database Utility it says" Your database is working correctly" This is tough since Entourage is the program I run all my email on and depend on it to run my business. In Feb 08 I had so much corruption that I had to create an entire new identity and it took hours. I hope not to have to do this again. I have no idea what might be going an. I empty trash on a regular basis and get rid of messages I do not need. On the MPV page I see... The "Verify database" has been known to give false reports. One thing that can cause these false reports is a corrupted preference. Try deleting these preference files in your User's --> Library Preferences: com.microsoft.OfficeNotifications.plist com.microsoft.DatabaseDaemon.plist Is this something I should try or is it only for importing databases from an older version. I have looked and do not see either of those plist in my preference folder. Thank you again, for all the time and energy Diane and Dick put into helping us.
