Perhaps I managed to expunge all instances of the error before your response. When I search for address book entries containing "special" (the displayname in the emails I was receiving said they were from "[email protected]"), I couldn't find any. I remember in Office 2004 it was sometimes difficult to get rid of entries in the email list of "return addresses", which was somehow different from the Entourage Address Book list of addresses. I never did really understand that, either, but wonder now if the two problems are related and if what you've blogged about really IS a new problem. I've archived your response, and I'll let you and the list know if the gremlin returns.
