Gentlemen,
I have encountered a strange problem in locating messages. According to the FAQ
(http://www.entourage.mvps.org/faq_topic/search.html#spotlight_search),
spotlight can be used to search for messages, and indeed it does so quite well.
The FAQ says that you can locate the folder containing a message by pressing
and holding the 'Move' button. I don't have a 'Move' button, but I do have a
move menu item that can be selected by right-click or from the Message menu.
Doing this, the top selection indicates a folder that is the 'right' location
for the message (according to my system of classification), however when I go
to this folder, the message isn't there. I've tried refreshing the folder
(again, from the right-click menu of the sub-folder), but it still doesn't show
up.
Any ideas why spotlight can find this message, but it doesn't appear in the
folder? I've had a suspicion for some time that I might be 'missing' messages
I've placed in folders, but until now was never sure. This message definitely
would have been placed in this folder and would not have been deleted until I
was done with it (according to my GTD-like system).
Regards,
- Steve
