The OP was asking about how to make his attribution line appear when replying to an incoming HTML message (i.e. clicking Command+R or Command+Shift+R on an HTML message only brings up a reply-to message that is completely blank, with no attribution line). On an incoming message, at least for me, there is no ab/ab button, so my original reply stated that the original, incoming HTML message must be changed to plain text first by selecting Message->Edit Message, then highlighting whatever is to be copied into the reply, then clicking Command+R (or Command+Shift+R). The selected text will then appear in the reply as bulleted, and the attribution line will all also appear at the top.
