If the drive is corrupted, SD! will back it up as it is (corrupted). The only solution is incremental backups (so that you can revert to an even earlier - uncorrupted - version). Unfortunately, Entourage doesn't play nice with incremental backup systems :-\ A solution is also to have all e-mails on IMAP or Exchange. Even if you lose your identity, you can still get all the e-mails back from the server.
