Hi everyone, My team is in need of usability participants for an Outlook:Mac study. This is your chance to see what Outlook might look like before its release.
The study will be conducted at my lab in Mountain View, California, the week of March 22. I'm in need of Exchange users for this particular study. For more details about the study, and instructions for how to participate, you can check out my blog post: http://blogs.msdn.com/nadyne/archive/2010/03/04/usability-participants-needed-for-outlook-mac-study-in-march.aspx What happens in a usability study? You come into my lab for a couple of hours. I've got everything set up here, so you'll use one of our Macs that's connected to my test Exchange server. I'll ask you to do some specific things with Outlook — write a new mail, schedule an appointment with your dentist on your calendar, etc. You'll be able to tell me how well you like (or don't like) what you've experienced. In return for your time, we give you a small gift as a token of our appreciation. And, of course, you get to help us shape the future of Outlook — but you have to sign an NDA, so you can't tell anybody about what you saw. :) If you're not in the Bay Area, or you don't meet the criteria for this particular study, or you're just not available that week, don't worry! My team is continuing to conduct studies up through the launch of Office:Mac 2011 later this year. Most of my Outlook studies are conducted in Mountain View so that the app team can observe them, but I do conduct studies elsewhere. You can sign up to participate in our future usability studies here: http://www.microsoft.com/mac/usability.mspx Regards, Nadyne.
