Our new website sends out embedded HTML emails for order confirmations. They look nice but they are a pain in the butt to forward or to reply to when we have a question about an order that we are trying to communicate with our customer. Our old website sent PDF attachments (in my opinion a better solution).
When I try to reply to a customer regarding a problem with their order I ending up with a formatting mess. I know that I can do a redirect and maintain the proper formatting but how can I do a reply or a forward and send the customer a copy of the original email (maintaing the nice formatting) with my new comments on the top of the email. Ideally what I would like is my new text on top of the email, followed by a separator line, and then the original complex HTML under the line. Or perhaps an even better option would be a script that takes the original email, saves it as a PDF and automatically attaches it to a reply or forward. Maybe two scripts: - Reply to complex email as PDF attachment. - Forward complex email as PDF attachment. Any suggestions? Is there anything in Outlook 2011 that handles this better than in Entourage? Also, how come I never see copies of my own posts on this mailing list?
