This feature wasn¹t certainly introduced with Outlook and I don¹t think it was even introduced in Entourage. IIRC, it was at least in Outlook Express. Diane may have better memory than I do. The concept of ³identities² is an old feature for an old problem that is gone now and Microsoft doesn¹t want to support it anymore. It¹s been replaced with Mac OS X user accounts. They realize, however, that some folks just won¹t let it go. Taking it from a prominent position in the menus to an obscure position in the Database Utility is a means of weaning folks off its use before removing it altogether. It¹s better than removing it now and giving no options for folks to migrate from Entourage to Outlook. If you think about it, very few applications are as old as the ones in Office and few developers ever have to consider removing old features because they¹re no longer needed. This is one of those situations. Again, identities were *not* developed as a solution for archiving but for allowing multiple users to use mail under one computer account. -- William Smith -- YouTalk mailing list List information: http://www.entourage.mvps.org/support_options/list.html List moderator: [email protected], [email protected] To unsubscribe: mailto:[email protected]?subject=unsubscribe
