Good News!!!!

My com.microsoft.Outlook.plist file now contains the statment

 <key>Compose_messages_in_HTML_by_default</key>
 <false/>

and new messages (like this one) are in Plain text with an active

Send button!  Yea!!

I suspect the error of not having a Compose_messages.... statement
in the earlier .plist may have been due to operator error. I
think the above statement showing <false> was written to the plist
file by Outlook when I went to the Preference/Composing/HTML pane
and unchecked "all" of the boxes under Format and account. The problem
child may have been the checked item

   [x} Compose messages in HTML by default.

Sad (but not Bad) News

Now when I open the Preference/Composing pane it still comes up
showing HTML highlighted.

I appreciate all of the help.

Happy New Year

Dick
